Modern website relaunch and clear brand positioning for an African icon

The Challenge

In 2003, Sibusiso Vilane made history as the first Black African to summit Mount Everest. Then he went on to reach both poles unassisted and complete the Explorers Grand Slam. Years ago, these achievements launched a wave of media coverage and booked-out stages, including meetings and commendations from the likes of Nelson Mandela and the Queen of England. But time moves fast. And lately, the bookings have slowed. Our goal? To help the world remember what he did and why it still matters now.

The Krescko Approach

  • We started with what people see first: his website. The old site hadn't been updated since 2008 and didn't reflect the scale of his story. We rebuilt it from the ground up with a sharper narrative, modern design, and distinct messaging.
  • Next up: his speaker profile, media kit, and social presence. We're building the digital version of the impact he makes in person so more people can find him, book him, and be moved by what he's done.

What's Next

We're just getting started. Next up: full social overhaul, a clear speaking brand, and positioning work to help him own his place in history, not just as a climber, but as a speaker, mentor, and African icon.
